Labs are a go! 4 long months
I went for another blood draw tonight. The doctor called and told me O was on 01/10 and to continue. After 4 long months, I will finally get these labs done. Now, the phlebotomist was well...(I just went to confession). I said "I have deep small veins and they usually do well to use a baby needle and get one on the first stick". So she pulls out the ginormous needle, sticks me in the bend of the elbow and my arm starts going into involuntary spasms. Nothing. Pulls it out, then goes to a butterfly(still not a baby needle). Tries about an inch over, digs and digs, more spasms and pain, nothing. The she gets the baby needle, gets it on the first stick but in a wild location and the blood starts pooling under the skin and swelling before my eyes. She then tapes me up and says "have a good night".
Hey, at least I'm moving on...lol. So I hope to get in to start on metformin, progesterone or something in the next week or so. Trying my best to balance everything and busy enough that I have little time to dwell on things out of my control(which is good). I hope to get more business work in this week. I'm trying to wear many hats. Thankfully our house is wired well with internet connections, laptops, etc. I have been trying to work on my site, emails, etsy, etc while the kids do independent work. I think I will find a balance eventually.

Hormonal screen and chart update
So I get a call from my doc last night and he tells me to stop charting. Sigh. I didn't have my peak day yet. Over a week of being poked and bruising and nothing. Not to mention my P being on CD28 or up is not cool. I am talking with my Creighton teacher tonight. I'm kinda a mess over it. Right now my prayer is to figure out what is going on quickly and get on the proper treatment. I'm trying to be patient(I promise I am). I think if I was in my 20's patience wouldn't be an issue. I'm on CD30 now, usually a 28 day and very regular, now, not so much. So, that's all I know. I can't make a follow-up until these tests are done and I didn't have peak-type until day 34 last month. This month, one day of 10CKL on day 17 then boom. Now I'm in a run of 10's and 8L....yish. I'm just going to have to keep my chins up.
CORRECTION********* Doctor said to stop the LABWORK. I was apparently tired and frustrated when I wrote this. It looks like, if things go as such, I will start over on Sunday with the labs.

My day(results, sort of)

I got the results of my hcg this morning and it was zero. While that was good news, the symptoms I continue to have warranted a visit to the doctor...er...nurse practitioner(not a fan). I went in, we discussed symptoms and options, she scheduled more blood work and ordered an ultrasound. Don't know if I am dealing with a fibroid, a cyst or other. I will keep you posted. Nothing conclusive but there is pain so that can't be a good sign. After being stuck a few times(deep veins) I got the photo above as a reward for not crying and staying still while they drew blood. Kinda sums up my day and now that it's done, it's borderline humorous. Not giving up baby hope, I prayed, hope is alive and well and I'm going to continue to get healthy and lose weight. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I should raffle off my band aid ;)

A glimpse of hope
I heard back from the doctor. He said I tested positive very early and so my numbers while low are not hopeless. He is prescribing prometrium and having me get blood work very early in the morning in hopes we get results by the afternoon. I am praying for a miracle and peace. He also talked about lab error and said when we are this early, a tiny lab error can be very misleading as far as the numbers are concerned. My kids already know there is a problem. We are going to offer up a rosary tonight for a miracle with our tiny baby. I also have hope that if he thought this was a lost cause, he wouldn't have prescribed the progesterone supplement. Oh Lord, stay by my side tonight.
