So I'm taking a short work break and reading over at ma beck's joint and got tagged so here goes.

The rules are fairly simple:

1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name.(If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name or your mother's maiden name).
3. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name.

L - Laughing. I sometimes snort when I laugh(or stop breathing and wheeze if I am laughing really hard).

Y - Yardstick. I have at least five of these in my office/studio. It was a secret until now.

N - Numbers. I stink at math. Seriously. I sailed through computer science and statistics just to get out of anything to do with algebra or calculus.

N - Nun. Before meeting Mr. Thorn, I prayed(and dreamed) about being a Carmelite. If I hadn't had so much debt, I may have taken the leap before we met.

I was tagged for this meme when I was under the weather but wanted to complete it(knowing most people have been tagged). If you were not and are reading this....guess what?

1. I am a freak about proper table manners(or manners in general). It drives me up a wall when people have disgraceful manners.
2. I slept with a Care Bear(Cheer Bear to be exact) up until the time I was married. Wow. That's embarrassing.
3. When I was in elementary school, I came outside from morning Mass to find a cross burning outside the church. That haunts me to this very day.
4. I had a bright blue Geo Metro when I got out of grad school. I finally moved on to a Ford Windstar when babies started coming.
5. I love garlic(on foods) and good wine. It's a weakness.
6. I went to graduate school at North Carolina School of the Arts for costume design. Our school mascot was a pickle.
7. I met my husband in an online chat room in 1995.
8. I despise cats. Yes, I know God created them. I am allergic to them and you never know what they are up to. They have an agenda and I don't trust them.

1. Christ's simplicity. He taught love by simple means in a way that is timeless. He taught through parables, works of mercy, compassion and love.

2. His Church. There is so much to love about the Church, it's history, the art, architecture, hierarchy and so much more. Not to mention the truth and awe of what the Church and liturgy contain...

3. Christ's Mother. He gave His Mother to John and to us for all times. She has been a source of strength for me in some of the darkest periods of my life.

4. The Eucharist. He gave of himself in such a perfect way to strengthen and nourish souls throughout time.

5. Christ died for me. Nothing I can ever accomplish or give will equate that insurmountable love Christ gave on the cross. He gave totally of Himself for many. In this sacrifice, He gave so we may live eternally.

Tagged, better late than never meme

Here are the rules: "Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. 1. I went to Purdue University to study directing for theater. Went to graduate school at North Carolina School of the Arts. I think I may be using my degree(which I never conceived I would do)

2. I've lived in Lafayette/IN, Winston-Salem/NC, Taipei/Taiwan, Buffalo/NY, near Cincinnati/OH. I enjoyed NC greatly.

3. I hate having things "hanging over me". Bills, taxes, library books, due dates, deadlines.

4. I have this far-off dream to live in a brownstone or urban loft someday. Lots of character, bricks, windows and IKEA-ish decor.

5. I am totally satisfied with my choice in husband(wink). He complements me well and is masculine in appearance and temperament. I don't fair as well in my female relationships with friends and such. The catty female personality drives me batty.

6. I enjoy wine, coffee, garlic, cannolis and scotch. Possibly in that order.

7. I love science fiction and historical genres in movies and literature. I love watching 24, Smallville and Supernatural.

8. I often think I was born in the wrong time(so to speak). I consider myself an "old soul". I love film noir, Sinatra, Dean Martin and a good martini. I think anything retro or vintage is absolutely superior. Technology would be the only exception. I'm a tech junky/geek.

Since this is an old meme, I will not be tagging. It may be considered in poor taste ;)
