Sign up for interest in OSM EF
As per Ten Reasons:
Cincinnati's Old St. Mary's is circulating sign-up sheets for the Extraordinary Form. Here's the pertinent text:
To help us in planning for the following proposed liturgies:
A. For a 7:15 AM Sunday Tridentine Low Mass at Old St. Mary's
B. For possible future weekday and Holyday Tridentine Masses
C. For Sacraments and Funerals from the 1962 Roman Missal
If you are a parishioner or, per the form, a "friend" of the parish, this is your chance to express interest. The form asks for name, address, telephone, and number of family members who will attend; presumably you could send this information via email to the address at the bottom of the home page.
An EF Triduum would be a wonderful addition in this region. Holy Week becomes difficult(usually).

Father Pacwa at Old St. Mary's

It is a wonderful day here in Cincinnati and the weather is perfect. We went to the English Mass at Old St. Mary's and Father Pacwa was the celebrant. We saw a few people we knew and it was not too crowded(which was good, I get claustrophobic). The homily on today's gospel was wonderful and focused on once you receive truth, faith and Christ, do something. Don't go back to your old ways(he compared to "after Lent").
After Mass we went to a favorite German restaurant in Main Strasse, Covington. The Red's are playing so getting around the stadium was a bit of a challenge. I have a challenging week ahead with First Communion preparations and a work load that is burying me. Oh...we also saw ANOTHER sign/vehicle coming home(this is getting to be a weekly thing). Yep, the back of the truck is shown above. One of my sons, who is having a difficult time right now asked "What does that mean, why would God send us that kind of sign?" So, he will start praying for St. Michael's help when he has his troubles. I had to explain the difference between a word "sign" and a God "sign". Now I look out my window and wish I could get some sun today. Maybe some day this week.

The effect of my efforts

Just a quick note on the "effects" of the Tridentine and traditional form of Mass on my family. My son is in the shower singing "Hail Holy Queen" with much fervor. He also said at dinner "I'm really starting to get the Latin" and he was proud he knew "Dominus vobiscum".
We had a wonderful dinner with my folks and found out that Fr. Mitch Pacwa will be having the 12:30 Mass at Old St. Mary's in Cincinnati next Sunday. I looked on the online bulletin and did not see it but Fr. Juarez announced it today according to my mother. So for those of you in Cincinnati, this might be feasible. I am hoping to round up the kids for the chaplet before they go to bed.
