Some day in Covington...

Wonderful news!

Effective October 7, 2009, the feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, His Excellency Ronald W. Gainer, Bishop of Lexington, enacted the Statutes of the Regina Pacis Community of the Diocese of Lexington, creating a chaplaincy under which members of the Community may register in lieu of a parish. The chaplain of the Community serves as the pastor of its faithful under Canon Law.

Lexington Latin Mass

The formal establishment of the Regina Pacis Community has been prayerfully awaited by its members and is an occasion of great joy and thanksgiving for all in the Diocese of Lexington who value the traditional sacramental rites of the Church. We are exceedingly grateful to Bishop Gainer and ask the prayers of all that this Community may thrive and provide spiritual benefits to all the faithful as part of the broader community of the Diocese.

Praise God!

We were in Lex recently and went to Mass. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!

Love that they have confessions before all Masses and the Mass time is reasonable too.
I saw a bulletin recently from a CATHOLIC CHURCH in Chicago that read, "Reconciliation 3rd Sunday of the month AFTER Mass."
How very, very protestant.

I love the confession before Mass. That is how it should be done! :) My old parish did it and I went regularly! Weekly, bi weekly, tri weekly, never a few months like I do now. :( It's not their fault of course, it is my own responsibility. But what I am trying to say is that I always waited in line when confession was offered before Masses! :)
