My heavens! This can't be good.

So tonight for dinner I made:
Green smoothie with collards, kale, mustard and spinach, 3 bananas, berry blend, flax oil, agave.
Then I made a carrot dish with carrot ribbons(peeler), raisins, almonds, raw almond butter, Braggs apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, ginger and juice from an orange.
Next was a salad of baby spinach, portabellas, Bragg's Amino Acids, pepper, sea salt, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds.
2 of the three Thorn kids tried green smoothie. Littlest liked and wanted more. Middle Thorn was okay on smoothie, didn't like carrot ribbon salad. Mr. Thorn had seconds on all but smoothie(we had large glass before meal.)
So that is a peek in our new food life. I can tell I will get addicted to the Bragg's. I tossed the spinach with my hands and I can still smell it. Yum. I didn't have much non-raw today so I need to be careful. Breakfast I had a slice of sprouted bread and some raw honey. That was it. Oh, and our sun tea jar leaks so we need to take that back.
I hope I am not going "what have I done?" a week from now. I swore I would never be vegan again. I'm totally NOT doing this for the planet, just so's ya know. I don't want anyone thinking I went all hippie. I'm still a flag-waving, conservative, trad catholic. I will need a food processor soon. My hand hurts after the carrots.

what about a juicer?

I am making sure I'm rally doing this before I invest more money. I would like a food processor first. I saw one on Amazon that will do for just 29.99. Down the road, if this becomes our life, I want to get a juicer and a heavy duty blender.
I can't find my remote and I am stuck watching the 700 club. Weh.

I think your dinner sounds good! I'm typically a mono-eater and I found it kept things simple and saved time.

While pregnant with our second my dh bought a BlendTec blender (I recommend it over the Vita MIx because it actually fits on my counter in one piece whereas the VM doesn't, it's too tall).

We did the green smoothies for a while but the texture just didn't sit well with me. We began juicing our greens instead and found it much more palatable. We used a Hamilton Beach centrifugal juicer for almost two years every day and it did a great job. It was $50 at the time from Walmart. I believe they are a bit more now but it's still a lot cheaper than a masticating juicer such at the Champion. It worked very well and was very easy to clean.

Our daily juices are made up of a base of:
carrots
apples
lemon
ginger root
parsley
kale
spinach

Every other day we'll throw in a whole beet with it's greens. On other days we'll add a large chunk of sweet potato. My two year old and my one year old love it all and it's a great way to make sure they are getting good nutrition.
