Coincidence?

So I am driving home from the grocery and a business that always has quippy signs outside read:
"Evil cannot be disguised"
Hmm. Went up after election. Hmm.
Now the photo above, totally unrelated, can be captioned if you are bored. Shocked he let that get out and not his college records. How much you want to bet this guy gets put out of business now that Obama has taken over?

I don't understand? In that picture, it kinda just looks like he and his daughter are having a good time. Actually, it's the first REAL picture I've ever seen of him. Usually he has that dorky "I'm so intelligent, thoughtful, constipated..." look on his face.

Sigh.

This is going to be a long, hard four years!

I'm actually don't want to know anything more about him at this point. I was hoping we would "know" who he was before the elections but now I'm covering my ears. I'm praying and thinking positive. La la la...No I can't hear you!

totally off topic: i just found out about no more EF at St. Bernard!!!! WTF? (sorry, mad) we were just at your parish this past sunday. (i wanted to introduce myself but felt silly) this is terrible!! what is the name of the parish that will be having the EF? do you not want to go there? i am so sad.

It is All Saints in Walton, KY. We still don't know where we will go. We had hoped that if they want to be "the EF" in the Covington Diocese that they would offer the sacraments and holy days. We are looking into that. We are still without a parish and will probably go to Sacred Heart for now. I love that church and we have other Covington transplants we know there.
Yeah, we were upset too. I'm tired of moving my family. We like to be planted and support a parish with $ and time but it's hard in this diocese.

i don't understand...if they are going to be the "EF in covington" why wouldn't they offer sacraments and holy days? this is awftul for you, i am so sorry. Fr. DeVous was getting pretty good at saying the EF too!

Because the priest who has the EF is not the pastor(a visitor). He is only there on Sunday for a brief time. We will miss Fr. DeVous. He is a rare breed and has helped our family greatly.

that just don't make no sense. why would you rely on a visiting priest when you've got a parish priest willing to have it at his parish...so much for making the EF more widely accessible.

No, it doesn't. There lies the frustration in Covington. Sadly, it has affected families and people who were active in the parish and now we all have to find a new home. As Father Fitzgerald said, it need to be strengthened in one parish before it grows. We have had attendence surge in the past few weeks too. I just pray that God leads us. We have sacraments coming very soon and no home.

would Fr. DeVous allow your daughter to receive her first communion early at st. bernard's?

She isn't prepared and hasn't had her first confession. We will solve it. There is another family that has little ones needing first sacraments this year as well.

I am very sorry if this is the second time this coment goes into your blog. I got confused in the signing up process and do not know whether I sent my comment or not.

I was directed to this blog by a lady of my parish who is largely responsible for us having the EF Mass here at All Saints. I want you all to know you will be welcome here.

The EF Mass is offerred here every Sunday and Holy Day at 9:15 am by Fr. Valentine Young, a Franciscan who also serves the Latin Mass Community in Lexington.

Many people think that Walton is "so far from everything". I don't think so. I can leave my rectory and be at the Florence Mall in just 15 minutes. I can be in Cincinnati in 25 to 30 minutes.

So, for all of you who are feeling "homeless", please know that you are very welcome to come to All Saints.

PS: Be careful when you get to Walton. A schismatic group is building a church near the exit from I-75. You get to our place by turning left off the exit. You will see our church straight ahead of you as you drive east on Mary Grubbs Hwy.
