My new love

Steel cut oats. I know they take awhile to cook but they are yum. I use pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon and brown sugar(Splenda mix) on them. I just had to throw this in in case you are not an oat fan, you would be with these. Steel cut oats. Yum.

We love them too. We make a big batch on Sunday night and keep them in the fridge. Then we just heat some up in the microwave with some soy milk and a little honey, and add some blueberries and walnuts on top. Delicious!

This is all we eat for oats at our house. We cook them, add milk, brown sugar, cinnamon and butter...yum yum. We make a pot at a time and it all goes! Every last bit, I'm lucky if I get any of it at all. I agree, once you have the steel cut, you will never go back!

Do you know about the soaking? I soak one cup of oats in three cups of water overnight, and they cook up in only about 20 minutes. :)

You know I cook mine up in 25 without the soak. I wonder if they would be a lot softer with the overnight soak.
