Heard from the back of the van...

"Mom, why do we light candles at church?"
"We do that as an intention...for someone who needs our prayers, who has died or needs help"
"Can we do it to be thankful?"
"Yes, thanksgiving, too."
"I want to save money to light a candle for two things. Do you want me to tell you?"
"Yes, you can."
"For Grandma and that we have another baby. I pray every time I go to Mass that God gives us a baby".

I am speechless.
"Mom?"
"Yes...?"
"Do you think God hears me when I pray for that?"
"Yes, I'm sure He does."
"Good because I won't stop praying then."

Now I'm all teary-eyed.

She is a she ;) Sometimes God works through them when I don't see how He is trying to work in our lives.

How sweet! When I look at lit candles, I also think of all the intentions those other candles represent. IT reminds us we aren't alone.

Beautiful. I lit plenty of candles and asked if I could have a baby too. God answers prayers!
