Happenings

I've been busy with work lately and haven't been on the computer much. It is good to be able to go to Mass again(since the surgery) and I'm finding life's hardships easier to deal with when I am better prepared spiritually. I am far from over the miscarriage and it's especially hard when the house is quiet and I'm alone. It is difficult to pray sometimes because I can't do so without crying. I'm trying to be patient with myself.

The TLM at the Cathedral in Covington is officially moving to St. Bernard's in Dayton, KY. After talking with some others, I know there are many who want a parish family and this may just be "it". For those of you local, the first TLM at St. Bernard's is on October 28th at 12:15. My kids are excited as they are having a potluck and Benediction after Mass. I have met so many wonderful people with so much in common. I find that something which looks hopeless and frustrating is often a blessing in disguise. I must remind myself of this when sufferings and crosses come my way. I am imperfect and human and can't always see that things will be "ok".

I have to take my son to an endocrinologist today and the paperwork is not finished(medical history, etc) It's gloomy here. I refuse to let that get me down. After all, it's not snowing yet...

I will report on how things progress. Many people have started to join the parish that pray the TLM. It's kind of exciting :)

So go ahead and cry... as long as you pray... no matter how short. Even "Oh God, why?" is accepted by Him as a prayer, and the Spirit will supply the rest.

There is nothing wrong with mourning. Even Jesus shed tears when he heard of the death of Lazarus... and He knew that he would rise from the dead when Jesus called him.

Yes, be patient with yourself and take all the time you need to rest and recover! Today, people don't take enough time to mourn. It is sometimes expected to just get right back in the swing of things. Don't buy into this, and don't worry. Just make time for prayer and meditation and it wil be ok. God Bless you!
