The "evil" Magisterium takes a hit

The Golden Compass Movie Trailer

Kidman Says Religious Content of 'The Golden Compass' Has Been "Watered Down"

I found this quote on Philip Pullman's(the author of Northern Lights, on which the movie is based) own website when asked about his books:
His Dark Materials seems to be against organised religion. Do you believe in God?

I don't know whether there's a God or not. Nobody does, no matter what they say. I think it's perfectly possible to explain how the universe came about without bringing God into it, but I don't know everything, and there may well be a God somewhere, hiding away.
Actually, if he is keeping out of sight, it's because he's ashamed of his followers and all the cruelty and ignorance they're responsible for promoting in his name. If I were him, I'd want nothing to do with them.

Wow. No words to follow the depth of that man's hatred toward Christ and His Church. I'm appalled that Nicole Kidman can claim to be Catholic and not know the author's agnostic/atheistic slant in writing this drivel.
In case there is any doubt what "Magisterium" refers to, Wikipedia only gives one reference, the Catholic Church. I know they are not the authority on all things but I've not found any other definition except in this movie(and I don't believe there is a difference in reference).
In case you believe I(or others) are over-reacting, check this interview on religion from the lovely author:
Philip Pullman Interview Religion
He even goes so far as to compare our Church to Russia and Marxism. Unreal. Wouldn't want to be around for his judgement. Pray for this ignorant man and the hatred against our Church he is fueling.

"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction." -Pius XII, AD 1953

I just received an email on this earlier this morning. It makes me sick! I sent the email out to as many people as I could so that maybe the stupid movie wouldn't make near as much money! I didn't look into the interview with good ole Philip Pullman because I know that it would just make me mad, and instead I'll pray that he realizes one day how he got where he is. It's a shame that there are SO many stupid people in the world. I'll go see Bella instead.
