So I am sipping my coffee....

and outside my office window is splashing and a wild commotion! Apparently, a small animal got in our pond during the snow and freezing rain. There are tiny footprints leading away from the pond so I am hoping the little animal escaped. The kids are readying themselves to go out in this and the sleet rain started. Yuck. We did get a tree last night. It's a blue spruce and the needles are like tiny razors. It looks nice and smells pretty. Just don't get any of the veins you need near the branches. If I get motivated later, I may take some photos. Today is the last day for our big Christmas rush so I hope we can get to the post office at some point.

A traveler in our pond...

Poor little guy had a cracked shell. He hopped in our pond and couldn't get out.
The kids spent the afternoon worrying about him and feeding him leaves. I spent the afternoon working but tonight I plan on celebrating the beginning of a return to sacredness....in whatever form it may take. I'm just thankful.

The view outside my work studio! Nature is weird. It's like they are taking over my poor angel and pond. Click on the photos to see bigger versions of the furry guys. The last time I shared photos of my window view, everything was covered in ice! It's 83 degrees here now. Ahhhhh....
