They have failed us

Our bishops have failed us. Obama won a majority of Catholic votes. Our US Catholic Church is a shell of its former self. No backbone, no guidance and no leadership. Life is life is life. All other issues can stand behind the life of an innocent child. Shameful. Very few bishops spoke strongly enough on LIFE. No wonder the lay people are running the church. I had to vent. I know God sees all and knows we are suffering. If the church wants to keep on it's liberal bent(both socially and liturgically), go on with your bad self. I don't identify with American Catholics. Anyone who can vote for that monster who would let a baby suffer a horrible death, in or out of the womb is not someone I want to associate with.
Vent over. God help us. Wonder how long before all the people he promised a free ride to wake up screaming at what they have done? We will be brought low as a country.

My soul joins yours as it screams in anguish over this development. God have mercy on us all.

Yeah, I think a lot of people do not know what they voted for.

How can someone with no accomplishments, radical associations, and socialist tendencies win? There can be no other answer except ignorance.

I am right there with you. The American church is in rough shape and I pray that it is not beyond repair. May God help us. What a victory for the devil tonight. Satan must be so content that the culture of death prevailed on such a large scale, and I'm sure the "Catholic" vote pleases him immensely. How terribly sad.

Life goes on (for some of us lucky enough to actually be out of the womb) and I will keep praying for the conversion of President Obama and the people who voted for him.

I'm also going to register for a weapon tomorrow (never really considered that until now) and I'd like to see someone try to pry it from my cold, dead hands...

Now is the time when great saints are made, by the grace of God and the Holy Spirit. Not only must we pray for the conversion of others, but we must continue to pray for believers to stand firm in the faith. Who's to say it won't come to a day of reckoning for many of us?

Well said, Thorny. Now we must pray for a miracle; in particular, for this administration's conversion to The True Faith. God will clean house. Didn't you ever notice that the house is messier when you begin to clean it than it was before you started? Then, VOILA! It is clean again after much upheaval.

We are God's instruments and must picket the abortion mills with a greater ferver and determination NOW MORE THAN EVER. God Bless you!

I know. Our bishop (who I normally love) would not let our pro life group hand out pro life flyers showing both the candidates voting records on that subject. (We did it anyway, but it didn't work. Stupid Indiana.)
