Uhh-mazing

We just got in a bit ago from a very long but beautiful day. Today was Fr. Fitzgerald's last Mass at St. Bernard's and it was lovely. So, so many people and it truly was nice to see how many locals care so much about this man. I'm not saying it wasn't sad. I got a bit emotional right before we left but I will miss his wisdom and refreshing fidelity most of all(so rare in this diocese). The effect that he made on my family(children included) has been so amazing. I don't want to go on too much as I will get weepy as I type. We had a nice simple reception after Mass and he made time for confessions(now THAT was emotional for me....snif). He has such a gift. Okay, now I am getting weepy....enough with that.

We met my family at a place called Pacific Moon for lunch/dinner at Newport on the Levee. They have an amazing menu and the kids(and husband) tried eel and octopus. They have great sushi, too. We ended the day with swimming at my parent's new condo and are home now. I think Father's Day went quite well. Just a very busy one.

Tomorrow one of my son's starts a summer day camp that is geared toward other children like him. They help with social and emotional issues and it should be quite fun, too. I hope I make it through. As busy as I am, I haven't the time to devote to my business and I pray that I can trust that God will help us meet our needs.
