Kerfuffle! Wisconsin parish nixes altar girls - predictable outrage ensues before sanity prevails

I am tired of seeing women and girls in the sanctuary in this diocese. They are very over-used and I see it usually comes from mothers pushing their daughters to serve. On the other hand, I don't blame priests in the diocese from feeling they "have" to use them or else they will run and tattle to the bishop. One more reason to be thankful for the EF at my parish. The said girls at former parish drove me batty with the irreverence and chatty stuff.

I need to sew. Weh.

It is so bad in our diocese that we had a married woman, in full makeup and heels, serving the BISHOP at the Chrism Mass. Incidentally, it wasn't even on Holy Thursday, in our diocese it is moved to the Thurs. before because, well, Holy Thursday is just BUSY. Grrrr.

Altar girls can and will be nixed if I become a priest.
