Why is this really funny?

Poll: 70 percent in U.S. say things are going badly

Who came up with this silly poll? And who are the 30% that thinks things are going well? Are they drunk? I want to meet them. Maybe they could cheer me up on days when I am blue.

I'm not so certain that doom and gloom is called for any more than it was 5, 10 even 20 years ago. The culture is ill but that is not what the pollsters were asking about.

I don't believe we are in a global warming disaster, the other planets have warmed just as much or more than the Earth.

politics are "as usual"
and the economy would be doing much better if everyone wasn't being driven by fear, urged by the press.

When I can't afford to fill my tank or feed my kids, I would say things are bad. This isn't hype. The only people who may think things are "good" make close to or over 200k a year, have an electric car, eat from their backyard garden and don't have a home or credit cards. Then I bet they are the ones who think things are darn "good". Things were "okay" 5 or 10 years ago. Good is when I can pay bills and fill my tank at the same time.

Oh, and I don't believe it has anything to do with the make-believe global warming. I think economy/healthcare/price of oil and general morale have more to do with the state of this country.
