Something interesting

A quote I found in our local Right to Life newsletter reads as follows:

"It's a dumb dog that doesn't bark when the wolf is among the flock!" - Pope St. Gregory the Great

This was brought about due to the bishops that say nothing to pro-abort politicians(i.e. Pelosi). I say it goes further. If you are in a place of authority and you know there are innocent souls in danger, you have an obligation to do SOMETHING. While I don't expect any human to be perfect, I do expect those in positions of authority to take it seriously and not abuse that power.
So what do you do when there is a wolf amongst the flock? I mean as a layperson? Do you tell someone? Who do you tell? I am stuck without a spiritual director now and have no one to go to. God allowed me to see certain things(I am positive it was not a coincidence in timing) and now I sit wondering "God, what is it you would like me to do?" I have never been afraid to speak the truth. But when I feel those who I would tell would think it is not our concern when souls are being lost left and right, really, what can I do? This has troubled me for weeks now and I am still not certain where God is leading me. I need to go to Mass(you know the one where I won't be jolted by a "liturgical surprise") and pray on this.

In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

I hear ya. I've known about a local priest that's essentially been "common-law married" to the mother of a friend of ours for about 15 years or so. He's been "investigated" but hides the co-habitation. I know the whole inside scoop but I feel like I can't do anything about it since the parish there wants to hide their heads in the sands and call that woman his "cleaning lady". Talk about frustrating!

This is very similar. It is "known" but not known. This priest was just appointed to a very high position in our diocese and , well, it makes me sick. I was hanging on by a thread until this event. I can plainly see where someone not grounded in their faith would leave the Church after what I witnessed(and my children and my husband). I need direction and have no one to go to. Sad, a heavily populated Catholic diocese and I have no priest to go to. Sad and scary.
