Basically, they asterisked God. Like it is now optional and you can worship the god of Doritos and it is still acceptable and encouraged. I'm not buying any more cookies. Sorry girls. You can read the new and improved Girl Scout pledge on Laura's blog. What dopes. I can't imagine being a leader in this day and age, I'd be breaking every PC rule they come up with. I'd be teaching them to make rosaries and mantillas and play with dolls....
They'd kick my religious butt right out. Who needs em anyway. I think we have a local Little Flower group. Now that is a cool group for girls.

I have similar feelings towards the BSA. I rejoice that we have an alternative in The Blue Knights.
My boys were in the scouts for awhile and we stopped. Autistic boys and knives just don't jive.
My now 16 year old tried scouts when she was about 7 or 8. We painted flower pots and put plants in them for a nursing home. Funny thing, though. None of the girls or moms would help us bring them to the nursing home. They only wanted the social time. That ended that. I don't buy cookies any more either. I understand they have people supporting Planned Parenthood on their board.
